A Dungeons and Dragons minifigure of a woodland troll was sculpted in VR for 3D printing. One drawing was used as a reference. Sculpting in VR and using mixed reality capabilities of VR headsets, allowed the designer and sculptor to evaluate the sculpture in digital form with real life minifigures. VR allowed for very fast changes and the need to only 3D print the troll one time for the final sculpture to be approved.
